 mer Academic Dean of the Faculty of Occupational M
 edicine and was Chief Medical Advisor to the House
 s of Parliament for 23 years. Her broad-ranging ca
 reer has combined clinical practice\, teaching\, r
 esearch\, and policy with a career-long interest i
 n creating evidence for\, and promoting the use of
 \, evidence-based occupational health practice. Sh
 e was formerly a member of the Industrial Injuries
  Advisory Council and chair of a NIHR\, Health Tec
 hnology Assessment Panel. She was the co-founder a
 nd co-director of the London Centre for Work and H
 ealth and is a Scientific Trustee of the Colt Foun
 dation. Ira was a keynote speaker presenting at th
 e RSM/SOM event in May 2026 on women&rsquo\;s heal
