The webinar will outline the health risks faced by expatriates on long term overseas postings, and describe the wide and interesting range of roles and responsibilities faced by an occupational physician in these locations.
Andrew Benc is a consultant occupational physician, with a particular interest in travel medicine and expatriate health. He is currently working at the Well Travelled Clinic at the Liverpool School of Tropical Medicine. Much of his career has been spent overseas, where his past roles have included chief medical officer positions for an international energy company in Brunei and Gabon. He initially trained as a GP, and first become involved in Occupational Medicine while working as a clinician at a copper mine in Papua New Guinea.
