An OH physician has been suspended for examining the genitalia of biologically male recruits to the nuclear industry. This, despite Government advice that male genitalia may indicate risk of radiation induced testicular cancer.The GMC has taken the view in Court that such screening was not clinically indicated Colleagues should beware of carrying out any screening intervention such as Chest X-Ray or even urine testing (which might also get a GMC label of sexual assault) for fear of sanction.
