Head of Occupational Health

British Airways are looking for a Head of Occupational Health to lead the delivery of occupational health services across British Airways. Reporting into the Chief Medical Officer, you'll provide strategic leadership across occupational health operations, ensuring services remain clinically robust, compliant and aligned to business needs.

Working closely with business leaders, regulators and clinical teams, you'll oversee service delivery, drive continuous improvement and support the development of policies, governance frameworks and innovative ways of working that enable the function to deliver excellent outcomes for both colleagues and the business.

What You'll Do:

- Lead the delivery of occupational health services across British Airways.

-  Provide leadership to Occupational Health Managers, Health Surveillance Managers and Musculoskeletal and Ergonomic Specialists.

- Oversee clinical governance, quality standards and regulatory compliance.

- Build strong relationships with internal business areas, external agencies and regulatory bodies.

- Provide specialist medical support and advice to physicians, nurses and managers.

- Lead the development of occupational health policies, service models and performance measures.

- Drive continuous improvement and transformation initiatives across occupational health services.

- Ensure occupational health services support business requirements and operational readiness.

and other staff to ensure both an effective and high quality Occupational therapy service and PMP (Pain Management Programme) service delivery.

- Lead critical audit activity in own area and support supervised research activity; supporting strategy and policy development regarding persistent pain and employment, ensuring the integration of research evidence into vocational rehabilitation.

Occupational Physician

As an Occupational Physician, you'll provide specialist occupational health support across British Airways, helping colleagues remain fit for work and supporting the business on a wide range of occupational health matters. Working closely with Occupational Health Advisors, Occupational Health Nurses and business areas across the airline, you'll provide medical advice, support policy development and contribute to the continued delivery of occupational health services.

What You'll Do:

- Provide specialist occupational medicine advice and support to colleagues, managers and Occupational Health teams across British Airways.

- Assess and manage occupational health cases, providing guidance on fitness for work and workplace health matters.

- Support the development of occupational health policies, service measures and ways of working that meet business and regulatory requirements.

- Work with business areas across the airline, offering medical expertise on areas including passenger medical clearance, workplace health and employee wellbeing.

- Build strong relationships across the business and provide support during incidents or situations where occupational health input is required.
