The Occupational and Environmental Exposure of Skin to Chemicals (OEESC) conference, organised by The British Occupational Hygiene Society (BOHS) is the leading international conference on skin exposure bringing together experts from wide ranging fields including occupational hygiene, health and safety, dermatology, skin research and consumer fields.

The focus of the 8th OEESC conference to be held at Pillo Hotel, Dublin, the Republic of Ireland is to bring together expertise and latest knowledge to share and discuss a range of issues with the aim of reducing skin exposure and improving health.

The programme combines plenary sessions that will be inspiring and thought-provoking, scientific and technical sessions, and more practical aspects that will be useful for those concerned with reducing ill health due to skin exposure both in and out of the workplace.

The conference will bring together researchers, practitioners, regulators, dermatologists, health and safety professionals, occupational health advisers, occupational hygienists, toxicologists, product formulators and other experts from around the world to discuss the very latest issues that affect skin exposure management.

Sessions will include:

•             Worker education and behaviour change including a practical workshop

•             Clinical case studies

•             Keynote and session on emergency response and skin decontamination

•             Risk assessment panel discussion

•             Toxicology, looking at sensitisation, irritancy and cancer endpoints

•             Keynotes on the skin microbiome and oxidative stress/DNA damage
