Leading for Diversity and Inclusion
This webinar is number 2 of SOM's Autumn "Leading Lights" Leadership series, with the aim of inspiring and increasing the leadership capability of Occupational Health Professionals, and through their leadership the healthier lives of working people.
Background:
We live in a multi-stakeholder world where organisational leaders are asked to address the needs of diverse populations workers, suppliers, customers, and the public. With over a million employees, the NHS is one of the largest and most diverse employers on the planet. Our speaker will explore why leading with diversity and inclusion in mind is so important and how it is integrated within the culture of the NHS.
Speaker:
Danny Mortimer is Chief Executive, NHS Employers, and Deputy Chief Executive, NHS Confederation, leading work relating to workforce policy and practice. He has had executive leadership roles in hospitals in Hertfordshire and Nottingham before joining NHS Employers. Danny is a Chartered Companion of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development, a Trustee of both NHS Charities Together and the NHS Retirement Fellowship and chairs the Cavendish Coalition of social care and health organisations.
