The At Work Partnership - Hand-Arm Vibration Syndrome (HAVS) refresher training

9 November 2022 – Standard refresher
10 November 2022 – Advanced refresher

Course tutor: Dr Roger Cooke, consultant in occupational medicine, and a leading expert in hand– arm vibration syndrome

Do you want to develop your skills and refresh your knowledge on managing HAVs cases? Join The At Work Partnership for an online HAVS refresher course! Tailored specifically for different levels of experience, the standard or advanced course provides an in-depth update on the requirements for health surveillance for a workforce exposed to hand-transmitted vibration, and in the diagnosis and management of an individual with HAVS.

Who is the training designed for?

Both days are designed for OH professionals who have attended the Faculty of Occupational Medicine approved two-day HAVS training course.

In order to undertake statutory tier 3 or tier 4 HAVS assessments, all OH professionals need to have an OH qualification, so this is a prerequisite.

The training is tailored as follows:

- The standard refresher course is for OH advisers and physicians who infrequently undertake HAVS surveillance

- The advanced refresher course is for OH advisers and physicians who are regularly undertaking HAVS health surveillance

Benefits of attending

- Enhance your knowledge and skills

- Gain up-to-date and in-depth guidance

- Put theory into practice with real-life case studies

- Receive detailed printed documentation for future reference and a FREE copy of Dr Roger Cooke’s new book Hand–arm vibration syndrome: a guide for occupational health practitioners (RRP £42.50).
