Summary:

The exclusive webinar will encapsulate the role of emergency care in occupational health and in particular focus on preparedness including training, ongoing CPD and equipment needs. Looking to bring a realistic and reassuring overview of the topic Tony will emphasise issues of scope of practice and how these fit into emergency care and where this links into duty of care. Additionally he will discuss the role of the team approach to emergency care and how preparedness encapsulates all providers as well as even bystanders/work colleagues at a scene of an accident/illness.

Tony is a nurse by profession with over 40-years’ experience of pre-hospital care with practice settings as varied as international sport, event and crowd medicine (including some of the UK’s most prestigious sporting events) and responding to 999 calls to provide enhanced care as a BASICS volunteer. He is currently the chief officer of the British Association for Immediate care and leads their educational provision. This includes developing and authoring their portfolio of courses and specialist bespoke courses across a range of settings and industries.
