Registration is closed for this event

FREE FOR SOM MEMBERS

SOM plans regular workplace visits for its members as part of the benefits of being a member. We have secured a visit to the Houses of Parliament on Friday 19th April starting at 1pm (time tbc). This will include a tour of the building (approx. 45 minutes) followed by a presentation about working in Multi Disciplinary Teams in the Houses of Parliament. There will also be the launch of  OH Mentoring https://ohcareers.info/ (see below*). The visit is planned to finish by 4pm.

This visit will offer an opportunity to SOM’s Occupational Health Advisor (OHA) and Allied Health Professional (AHP) members to learn and ask questions to help with their CPD. An e-tivity document will be provided that participants can complete as part of their visit.

Please note that taking of photos or videos and posting these on social media is not allowed due to national security. You will be advised where and when there may be an opportunity for photos on the day.

We will also confirm a meeting point nearer the time.

There is a café onsite and if you wish to have lunch beforehand there are lots of local pubs and shops in the area.

There are a maximum of 30 places, which will be allocated on a first come first served basis.

This is a FREE event for SOM Members ONLY. If you are not a member, please join online here.

*SOM and NSOH are excited to launch a multiprofessional mentoring scheme, aimed at supporting health professionals considering a career in OH, at the HoP visit. The scheme enables mentees to choose a mentor and receive individual and group mentoring sessions. The goal is to build the understanding of OH as a career and maximise the potential of a successful move by identifying individual strengths and opportunities.
