Registration is closed for this event

FREE for ALL (please log in on the SOM website first).

This webinar continues our free-to-access series on "Basics in OH". It will cover critical new developments in Respiratory Crystalline Silica and Asbestos control. In addition, it will be recap on key occupational health practices and duties which support prevention and anticipation of harm arising from the two major causes of serious occupational respiratory disease. It will anticipate some developments to keep an eye out for in these areas which will be of interest to occupational health specialists.

Speaker Bio: Jason Hodgkiss, BOHS Honorary Treasurer, Specialist Member of the Faculty of Occupational Hygiene (MFOH(S), Managing Director On Advice Limited

Jason is a Qualified Occupational Hygienist with a specialist interest in Asbestos.

He is currently a member of the BOHS International Engagement Group, a Trustee of the UK Branch of Workplace Health Without Borders (WHWB-UK), and on the advisory committee and communications team for Occupational Hygiene Training Association (OHTA).

Jason has been the Occupational Hygienist on one of the largest construction projects happening in the UK, hopefully making a difference on the ground, and encouraging the Construction Industry contractors to focus, to a greater extent, on worker health protection.  His challenge is to at least get ‘Health’ equal billing to the more immediate and obvious ‘Safety’ in the ‘Health and Safety’ equation.”

Chair: Professor Kaveh Asanati
