Summary of webinar: 

The presentation is designed for HR leaders. It will include discussion on what Occupational Health is and how it could help organisations by protecting employees health and wellbeing; reducing absenteeism, presenteeism and injury rates; improving morale and productivity; supporting compliance and risk management; helping in ensuring regulatory compliance related to employee health, safety, and legal obligations; enhancing recruitment and retention strategies; enabling efficient case management, return to work plans and providing recommendations on adjustments. The presentation will also include a few examples of legal cases on how OH advice or lack of it influenced the outcomes of employment tribunals.

Presenter bio:

Dr Oli Champan is a Consultant Occupational Health Physician currently working at People Asset Management OH Solutions. She had been previously employed by other major occupational health services providers such as Capita, International SOS and AXA Health. She has extensive experience working as a company medical adviser. Dr Chapman had established and clinically led a Remote Medical Care Service, which was providing OH and Topside services to the offshore energy sector in the North Sea. Her occupational health experience includes the oil and gas, offshore energies industry, education, construction, catering, maritime, financial and entertainment sectors, for both public and private organisations. Oli is appointed OEUK and HSE doctor. She is a past Chair of Scottish SOM. In addition, Dr Chapman has extensive experience in medical education and project management. Oli is based in Aberdeen and enjoys travel, cooking/baking and walks with her family and dog Glen in scenic Aberdeenshire.
