New consumer health company, Haleon are recruiting for a full-time Occupational Health Advisor to be based in Berkshire.

About the role:

As Occupational Health Advisor, you will delivery high quality and customer focused occupational health (OH) service for Maidenhead Manufacturing Site, meeting business needs across all aspects of occupational health service provision (physical and mental health). You will work closely with other site OH/wellbeing staff to deliver strategic and operational objectives.

Ideally this role would be based on-site, however there is some flexibility. This is also a full-time position, but if you are interested and would want to discuss working arrangements/part time working, the role would require 4 days’ commitment per week.

 

Knowledge skills and experience required:

-Registered Nurse Post Graduate Occupational Health Qualification

-Experienced in occupational health, managing cases, connecting with workers and providing right level and type of support

-Experienced in manufacturing/industrial environment 


Principle duties and areas of responsibility:

-Ability to apply specialist knowledge in key areas of Case Management, Travel Health (as required), Health Surveillance, Health Capability Assessments and Health and Wellbeing initiatives.

-Ability to work with a high degree of autonomy, engage &  consult with site stakeholders, maintain & build upon existing governance processes & build upon them

-Build a strong relationship Haleon EHW, with an interface to the Regional Physician Lead EMEA to continually improve delivery ensuring quality & governance measures are met.

-Engage, consult & educate site managers and staff to facilitate and improve the management of Employee Health and Wellbeing; owning and supporting projects that improve health and wellbeing at the Maidenhead site.

-Generate clinical and performance metrics, demonstrating value of the function to the business. Data analysis of health trends to identify and monitor work place hazards, engaging with employees to improve employee performance and wellbeing.

-Leading and providing an effective case management service for managers and staff. Ownership and management of a clinical case load providing clear decisions and opinions regarding case outcomes (including decisions regarding occupational illnesses and injuries, the appropriateness and applicability of LTD and IHR), providing concise medical reports and summarizing recommendations in accordance with evidence based best practice and aligned to company people policies.

-Work collaboratively  with other Haleon OH/HW professionals within EMEA region as well as globally. Ensure best practices are shared, to help maintain  existing best practices as well as ensure further improvements.

-Seek and respond to customer feedback, investigate complaints and contribute to the improvement of processes and service delivery in response to customer feedback.
