If so, then Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust have the perfect role for you! MFT’s Employee Health and Wellbeing (EHW) Service is recruiting an Occupational Health Clinical Lead to provide leadership and management for their Fitness for Work Service. The service includes the expertise of Occupational Health Nurses, Consultant Physicians (OH and Psychiatrist), Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapists, Mental Health Nurses and Rehabilitation Advisers. In addition, the Fitness for Work team, work as part of a wider MDT including Clinical Nurses, Psychotherapists, Public Health Specialists, Systems and Service Support and Senior Managers.
The aim of the EHW Service is to provide specialist advice and support regarding employee health issues to MFT employees and managers, as well as to a variety of external clients. The EHW Service provides over 28,000 employees with an efficient, highly professional and cost-effective service, focusing activities on meeting the common challenges faced by the largest Acute NHS Trust in the UK.

Main duties of the job
-As their Head of Fitness for Work Services you will provide senior management support to EHW colleagues and ensure that services continue to operate to high clinical standards.
-You will have responsibility for ongoing audit and process reviews to ensure quality standards and effectiveness of services. By ensuring ongoing compliance you will lead the service in maintaining SEQOHS accreditation and provide effective day-to-day operational management and professional advice across the services, ensuring the highest standard of clinical care.
-As line manager, you will support your team members by assisting with coaching, mentoring, appraisal and clinical supervision, whilst maintaining your ongoing professional development.
-As a qualified Registered Nurse (RGN) you will hold an NMC statement of entry for Specialist Community Public Health Nursing and Specialist Practitioner status in Occupational Health.
-You will ideally have a higher management qualification or be able to demonstrate equivalent management experience.
-You will have gained significant experience in a senior role in a large diverse organisation and must be competent in translating complex information into reports to present to all levels of Trust staff, including Senior Managers and Directors as appropriate.
-NHS experience is not essential although is desirable.
-Hybrid working arrangements would be considered.
