The Occupational Health and Wellbeing Service at North Yorkshire Council delivers a comprehensive and highly valued service to both internal and external clients across North Yorkshire and beyond. The team of dedicated Occupational Health professionals supports organisations to improve workforce health, wellbeing and productivity whilst helping employees remain healthy, safe and in work.

Role 1 - Lead Occupational Health Nurse
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Occupational Health professional to lead a well-established service and play a key role in shaping its future direction. Combining clinical expertise with operational leadership, you will lead and develop a multidisciplinary team whilst ensuring delivery of a high-quality, sustainable and customer-focused Occupational Health Service. 

Key Responsibilities:
- Lead, motivate and develop the Occupational Health team
- Oversee day-to-day service delivery and resource management
- Provide coaching, mentoring and professional support to colleagues
- Build and maintain strong client relationships
- Act as a source of expert Occupational Health advice and guidance
- Drive service development and quality improvement initiatives
- Support wider public health, health promotion and employee wellbeing programmes

Role 2 - Specialist Community Public Health Nurse OH (Business Partner)
North Yorkshire Council is looking for an experienced and forward-thinking Specialist Community Public Health Nurse (Occupational Health) to join its Health & Wellbeing Service as an Occupational Health Business Partner. This is a unique opportunity to influence strategy, shape service delivery and use your occupational health expertise to improve workforce health and wellbeing outcomes.

Key Responsibilities: 
- Provide specialist clinical advice on fitness for work, rehabilitation, and workplace health risks
- Manage a complex caseload, supporting employees in sensitive or challenging situations
- Work in partnership with managers to address attendance, performance, and wellbeing concerns
- Act as a trusted advisor to leadership teams on workforce health strategy
- Lead and contribute to health promotion and wellbeing initiatives
- Support organisational priorities by contributing to the People Strategy and service plans
- Represent Occupational Health in meetings, case conferences, and cross-service forums
- Ensure compliance with professional standards, legislation, and clinical governance requirements
