RSSB works with the rail industry to create a safer, healthier, more sustainable and efficient railway. They bring industry leaders together, through the Rail Wellbeing Alliance, to transform workforce health and wellbeing. They aspire to having the healthiest railway workforce anywhere in the world.

 

You will be working with RSSB to deliver the health and wellbeing industry strategy, engaging with rail companies and associated businesses to embed great practice. You can learn more about what the Rail Wellbeing Alliance does and see their evolving plans here.

 

As the ‘Senior Physician - Principal Strategy Implementation Manager’ you will you be responsible for the delivery of RSSB’s occupational health, occupational hygiene and public health workstreams. Current projects to get excited about include:

 

- The revision of the industry’s medical fitness standards for safety critical workers

- Development of a new training programme for OH clinicians joining the railway

- Their new public health workstream, developed in response to Covid-19. You will be instrumental in defining the scope and growing this workstream.

 

The successful candidate will be a GMC registered physician, preferably with full membership of the Faculty of Occupational Medicine (FOM), with proven strategic experience of leadership in health and wellbeing and partnership working.
