Specialist Occupational Health Nurse – 37.5 hours per week – Permanent – Band 7
The Occupational Health and Wellbeing Service at South Tyneside and Sunderland NHS Foundation Trust is looking for a motivated, enthusiastic, capable, efficient, experienced and forward thinking Occupational Health Specialist Nurse to join their multidisciplinary team.
The Occupational Health team have played a pivotal role in supporting their staff during the pandemic and they continue to be at the centre of developing health and wellbeing advice and support to staff and managers. Therefore they are looking for a senior nurse with leadership and management potential to help continue to develop and drive quality improvement.
As part of a multidisciplinary team you will be working closely with Occupational Health Physicians, Advisors, Practice Nurses, Physiotherapists, Mental Health Practitioners, Wellbeing Practitioners, Covid Support Team and Administration Team offering a wide range of services, resources and activities. In addition to the OH team you will have links with Infection Prevention, Respiratory Health, Pharmacy and Procurement.
You will be organised, have excellent interpersonal skills and effectively integrate as a member of their highly skilled multidisciplinary team. You will be able to demonstrate an empathetic, client centred approach, encompassing staff and student's physical, psychological and social health.
There will be the opportunity to work across the system integrating with local partners and as part of the national Grow Occupational Health project including formal NHS leadership academy training will be encourage and supported as part of this role.
