This 2 day course offers training to those working in respiratory physiology/medicine with an interest in occupational asthma, or those currently working in occupational health.
Topics covered: definitions of occupational asthma; investigations for occupational asthma; identifying causative agents; finding information; manual vs logging meters; spirometry interpretation; serial PEFs & the Oasys program; respiratory surveillance incl. using Spirola; handling abnormal results; legal aspects & compensation.
Pre-requisite: You will need a good foundation knowledge and experience in spirometry.
