GSK, Occupational Health Physician –Consumer Healthcare Regional Lead Europe/Middle East/Africa

GSK Consumer Healthcare is seeking an Occupational Health Physician.

This is a UK based role, ideally based at the Consumer Health head-office in Weybridge, although there is some flexibility in location for the right candidate.

This is a brand-new position that has been created in the Employee Health and Wellbeing (EHW) team for the future Consumer Healthcare business, which will become a seperate independent company in mid-2022. This role will support Occupational Health & Wellbeing across the EMEA region; which includes several manufacturing/R&D sites, as well as office based/field force workers, including those at the head office situated in the UK.

As the regional OH Physician, you will take a leadership role and help to develop, implement and oversee a governance framework for existing OH & wellbeing programmes. This includes quality of service delivery, driving capabilities, developing and improving standards, mentoring OH & wellbeing professionals, auditing and ultimately ensuring that the company is compliant with external and internal requirements. 

Since this is a strategic business facing leadership role, the skills required to be successful include an ability to build relationships, be customer centric, communicate effectively, influence stakeholders, be collaborative, flexible and also culturally aware when working with stakeholders at all ranges of seniority. There are no direct line management responsibilities, however a critical part of the role is to oversee dotted line relationships with regional OH/Wellbeing colleagues to help and develop their capabilities. 

Required Qualifications and experience:

- Medical Degree - Qualified physician with license to practice in the UK (or within 6 months of completion)
- Member of the Faculty of Occupational Medicine (MFOM)
- Experience in employee Health and Wellbeing/Occupational health, including operational service delivery
- Experience of working in different work environments and ideally other multi-national companies
- experience overseeign governance processes, auditing and ideally training other clinicians
- Ideally experience in all elements of leading projects, including design, implementation and monitoring
- Experience of varied project management, including leading projects
