SOM is looking for one (and possibly two) strategic clinical advisers to support the SOM in its special interest groups and clinical activities. We will offer:

- Full induction, personal development and monitoring with opportunities to network and share experiences

- Complimentary attendance at SOM led events (e.g. conferences / courses) where possible, including the opportunity to attend external events as a SOM representative  

- Use of SOM linked meeting rooms for SOM business, budget dependent

- Listing on SOM website as team member and travel and lunch expenses

 

Reporting to SOM CEO, with Observer role at Board

 

Time - half a day commitment per week

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

Specific duties include, but may not be limited to:

 Support the SOM Team with clinical advice, specifically related to special interest groups, policy work, a new “shadowing” initiative and strategic activity

 Participate in, and provide clinical advice, at meetings SOM team members are invited to

 The opportunity to advise the SOM team in its Occupational Health and Medicine communication activities

 

Qualifications:

 Clinical qualification, preferably in OH

 Proficiency in MS Word, Excel and Outlook

 Attention to detail

 Task-oriented

 Self-starter

 Problem solving skills

 Excellent verbal and written communication skills
