SOM Occupational Health Awards 2025 - winners announced

The winners of the 2025 SOM Occupational Health Awards were announced on Wednesday 10th December at our Awards Reception at the RCP London. You can read about the winners in our Awards Pack.

  • Outstanding Occupational Health Initiative - Winner: Royal Brompton Specialist Occupational Lung Referral Service
  • Outstanding Occupational Health Practitioner - Runner up: Dr Shairana Naleem; Winner: Dr Anil Akpinar
  • Outstanding Contribution by an Employer to Workplace Health and Wellbeing, sponsored by OH Assessment - Winner: Cadent Gas
  • Outstanding Occupational Health Team - Winner: TAC Healthcare Offshore Medics Team
  • Outstanding Contribution to Diversity and Inclusion - Winner: Employee Networks at EDF Energy (pictured above)
  • Outstanding Contribution to the Development of OH Globally, sponsored by NEBOSH - Special Mention: Dr Marianne Cloeren and Prof Janvier Gasana; Winner: Dr Nayab Sultan
  • Outstanding Contribution to Occupational Health Research, sponsored by NEBOSH - Joint Winners: Dr Jack Meintjes and Delphi Study Research Group
  • SOM Lifetime Achievement, sponsored by OH Assessment - Special Mention: Dr Tony Williams, Christina Butterworth, and Dr Chris Pugh; Winner: Prof Diana Kloss MBE

Also announced at the awards evening were the winners of the Cavell Star award: Janet O’Neill, Elly Dady, and Josie Lazenby.
