Occupational Health Awareness Week 2023

Posted by Ann Caluori | Mon, 18/09/2023 - 16:39

Occupational Health Awareness Week - 18-24th September - focuses on helping small and medium-sized businesses (SMEs) access information they need to keep their staff healthy and productive at work.

The connection between good health and productive workplaces has never been more important. ONS statistics show that the UK faces a serious challenge with workplace absence, with record economic inactivity due to long-term sickness.

SOM has produced short and long videos that provide guidance on OH to businesses, with expert advice, first hand testimonials, and helpful signposting.

COHPA has produced a written guide for SMEs on how to use OH.

There are also a series of events during the week, including SOM speaking at a Wellbeing at Work Summit in Manchester, and a Leadership Conference in London on Tuesday 19th September.

See https://www.som.org.uk/ohaw and posters and social media assets in our Resources area to use, distribute and share, to promote on social media or to clients.

Last week there was a launch of a SOM/CIPD report on OH, HR and Wellbeing – the recording is here.
